Software engineering interviews have gone through various cycles of trends throughout the years, and today, different companies handle technical screenings in different ways. Some use technical interviews, others use whiteboard pseudo-code, and still others use take-home exercises. A select few still use in-person, computer-based tests.

In this episode, we talk about the pain of whiteboard interviews and technical exercises, whether or not they are appropriate, and some of our experiences with them through our individual careers.
